The Uniform can be purchased directly from us at 1st Virginia Water. Please ask your leaders for more details on how to buy uniform. If you have already purchased uniform, please be patient as it can take a while to put the order through!

Transferrable Badges
The Chief Scout Awards
The highest level of Chief Scout Award that your child has been awarded can be placed on the uniform of the new section you are moving on to. For example, the Chief Scout acorn (Pictured far left) can be transferred onto the Beavers uniform in place of where the Chief Scout Bronze should go. If the Chief Scout Bronze is awarded, this then replaces the Chief Scout Acorn and the process continues.
Staged Activity Badges
The staged activity badges are denoted by a circular badge with purple piping and a deep sky blue background. These badges can be transferred between the Sections as all sections use them. Only the highest stage that has been awarded of a Staged Activity Badge, stays on the uniforms. E.g. If a “Nights Away Level 2” has been awarded, the Level 1 equivalent comes off of the uniform and is replaced by the Level 2.
Membership and Joining-In Badges
The Membership badges can vary, these are usually given out for each section that the young person is in. This includes the Purple fleur-de-lis membership badge, the district badge as well as the group nametape ribbons. If you are in Cubs, you will also receive a section ribbon. The group ribbon and section ribbons go in the same place, with the group ribbon on top and the section ribbon slightly underneath it. (Picture is as above for locations).
Joining-In badges (As pictured above) can all transfer onto the new section uniform.
Non-Transferrable Badges
Non-Transferrable badges are all pictured below. Please be advised that these can go on a camp blanket, along with any out-of-date occasional badges. We would recommend a fire-retardant blanket for this due to using them around campfires on camps.
